BNC All Aboard the Belmond Northern Belle
Keen to experience the unique appeal of Belmond’s legendary style and service our group of corporate event managers joined over 100 other business travel professionals on Euston Station’s Platform 18 for a fam that required just a few hours out of the office but seemed like a world away.
Smartly dressed staff gave a red carpet welcome as they served canapés, mini dishes and glasses of bubbly to all. Livening up the platform with dreamy tunes from a bygone era was jazz band The Casablanca Steps who played Putting on the Ritz amongst other classics.Stepping on to the gleaming, polished train our group were transported back in time to an age of class and refinement. They got to tour through the seven carriages - which are beautifully decorated and designed with craftsmanship, fabrics and fittings of the glorious 1930s – before settling down to enjoy the hospitality.
The attention to detail and clever theming of the carriages was something that impressed our group of experienced corporate event managers. That, and many other things about their once-in-a-lifetime excursion certainly didn’t disappoint.
Executive Assistant Marissa, from a credit management company, said that her expectations of the visit were high and they were easily met. Marissa was using the fam as research for a possible excursion for high level executives who are looking for something to do that is a cut above everything else.
“The Belmond Northern Belle offers a unique, special and memorable experience,” she says.
“It’s beautiful and has a lot of things worth doing. For senior leaders and clients I’m thinking of using it for a possible celebrity chef experience or visit to Ascot Racecourse.”

The Belmond Northern Belle seats 260 people and is available for private charter, or for smaller corporate groups. Regional departures are from across the Midlands, Northern England and Scotland.
